Intensifiers

Intensifiers are adverbs that enhance adjectives and adverbs. In English, they come
before the words they modify.

Examples:

It’s quite hot today.

Ms. Stress is really busy right now.

He’s my very best friend.

I’m a little tired today.

That was a pretty good shot.

Sam just got a brand new car.

I know her fairly well.

It's extremely hot outside.

You're absolutely right!

It would be very interesting to have more examples of intensifiers used with comparative adjectives. Texbooks do not provide very clear explanations of the different use of e.g. "quite bigger" "not nearly as bog as" (with pictures, if posssible", and example sentences. It would also be convenient to have exercises to practice the usage thoroughly.
Thank you.
